As a partner of the Fraunhofer Institut we can offer to our customers software licenses for AAC codecs which are optimized for the Freescale DSP563xx processor family:


MPEG-4 HE-AAC is an audio codec for low bitrates of 32 to 48kbit/s in stereo with sampling rates from 24kHz to 96kHz. This codec is used in many information transmission standards and applications like DAB+, DRM+, DRM, DVB-H, DMB, MediaFLO, 3GPP, XM Radio and mobile phones.


MPEG-4 AAC Low Complexity is the ideal codec for any low-bit-rate, high-quality audio application on mobile devices. It is also used in broadcasting services.


MPEG-4 AAC-LD is a low delay audio codec derived from the AAC technology providing high quality speech and audio compression at very low coding delay. Typical applications for this codec are IP-communication, video and teleconferencing systems and broadcast equipment.
